With summer rapidly disappearing before August has barely started, it’s enough to send anyone’s wardrobe into confusion. At Find My Style we have the answer…this month’s look is all about being trans-seasonal.

How to implement
Creating a trans-seasonal look is easy. All it takes is an investment in 3-4 items from next seasons’ collections (which the shops are already bursting with) and couple them with pieces from your own summer wardrobe.
Select key pieces for next season
In the pictures above, I went for the minimalist chic look by picking up 3 items in Zara.
1. The fitted white cotton shirt with detailing is a must for next season, and it’s also the perfect cross over piece since it can be mixed and matched with everything.
2. The ankle exposing cigarette trousers will see you through to Sept/Oct time, then as it gets chilly, you can start adding socks. These ones are 100% wool so they will allow the skin to breathe while keeping you insulated when the weather gets colder. Wool is also fab for not creasing.
3. The wasp waist skirt gives a nod to the retro dressing trend with its mini waist frills, full hip line and check print. The shorter cut can be paired with footless tights for summer, then tights and boots as the weather gets cooler.
Utilise your own wardrobe
From my wardrobe I added my favourite wedges, classic camel bag, footless tights and my waisted dungaree style Habits trousers. Fortunately these are right on trend going into AW10 as trousers are predominantly waisted elegant flares or cigarette style.
